Dutch Bank Cafe is a family-owned business which has a long history. The building was originally built in the year 1676 and functioned as a church and later as a bank.
Mr. Haramanis Alwis (my Grandfather) bought this land at an auction in 1960s and the new Dutch Bank Cafe was opened to the public on 23rd January 2013.
It is situated about 2 kilometres from Trincomalee Main Bus stand along the Inner Harbour Road. The Easiest land mark is the natural harbour. Can be accessed by any kind of vehicle.
