Fort Park, Batticaloa

The park is a charming hidden place located close to the Old Dutch Fort along the shoreline of Batticaloa Lagoon. It’s a fine place to watch the sunrise, and if you are a bird watching enthusiast the surroundings of the park will not let you down. You could find quite a few water birds to see in the lagoon as well as on trees and bushes surrounding the park. The park and its environment is probably the quietest place around Batticaloa town during the day time, making it an ideal place to relax.
