Hideaway Resort, Arugam Bay

Kick back, relax and make Hideaway your stylish tropical retreat in beautiful Arugam Bay.
Established more than 30 years ago, Hideaway was originally the serene holiday home of the Tissera family and is still owned and managed by family members today, delivering the same ethos of rustic charm, a friendly welcome and outstanding cuisine to the discerning international traveller.

Wake up to the sound of birds singing, while they preen and sip from the water features dotted around the magical Hideaway gardens. As the morning sun streams through the restaurant, start your day with a rejuvenating Tropical Breakfast featuring fresh fruits and mouth-watering homemade pancakes.

A short hop, skip and a jump and you'll feel the bay’s fine sand between your toes - perfect for surfing, swimming and relaxing. Recharge with a delicious smoothie at our hip roadside cafe, serving up vibrant thirst quenchers along with delectable homemade treats. Take time to explore our unique shaded gardens, bathed in dappled sunlight and a soothing breeze.

As dusk falls, kick back in the daybed and sample fresh cocktails made under the canopy of our chilled out cocktail bar. As the evening unfolds, treat your tastebuds to a dish from the daily changing menu at our renowned restaurant, where its inviting ambience goes hand in hand with carefully crafted and superbly presented cuisine from around the world.

And as the day draws to a close, retire to our unique rooms within the main villa, or to one of our nine private bungalows and just enjoy taking life at a gentle pace, with time to unwind and be happy.
