Marble Beach, China Bay, Trincomalee

Clean and clear waters, calm and quiet waves, Marble Beach is one of the most beautiful beaches in Sri Lanka. The beach gets it's name form the marble stones spread throughout the coast line of the area. On a bright sunny day while the waters are calm, you could witness the sea floor while swimming. There are all basic comforts such as toilets, drinking water, and resting huts. A nominal entrance fee is charged for the upkeep of the beach and the surroundings. The beach is located at China Bay 20 minutes drive from Trincomalee town.The area is managed by the Sri Lankan air force and provides lifeguard assistance.

Accessibility Notes

The beach can accommodate visitors of all abilities. Marble beach is around 18 km from Trincomalee town on Trincomalee-Kinniya road. Take the turn at the small junction just before the Kinniya Bridge which leads you on a gravel road to the beach.
