Pottuvi Point, Arugam Bay

Pottuvil Point is a long deserted sandy beach doted with some huge boulders at the waters edge. This place, locally known as "Kottukkal", is around 4.5 km from Pottuvil.

Being one of the best surf breaks around Arugam Bay and because of its tropical wave, Pottuvil Point has become every surfers dream. It is less crowded because you need to have a ½ hour tuk-tuk ride north from Arugam Bay and Pottuvil Point provides 800 meter rides from the outside section right through to the beach on the inside. When the Main Point at Arugam Bay generates 6 feet tall wave, the Pottuvil point will have 4-5 feet.
