Rupas, Arugam Bay

Welcome to Rupa’s Beach Hotel. Being one of the longest-running hotels in Arugam Bay, our establishment has become trusted and well-known for its cozy and friendly atmosphere.

Located around 200m from Main Point, one of Arugam Bay’s popular surfing destinations, and even closer to Baby Point, an extremely calm spot of beach, Rupa’s Guest House is perfect for travelers looking for fun in the waves.

Rupa’s guest house has been in operation for over 40 years, making it one of the most trusted providers of hospitality in Arugam Bay. After the 2004 tsunami, Rupa’s had to undergo heavy reconstruction, and has since recovered fully from the damage.

Managed by Mr. Rupa and his family, this family business takes pride in the satisfied smiles of its guests. In fact, this family approach is what creates the friendly and relaxed setting that has brought Rupa’s Beach Hotel among the top hotels in Arugam Bay.

Location was perfect, just few meters from the beach, where you could surf all day long, and in that vibe was also the atmosphere of this guest house—surf and chill out. Staff is very helpful and nice and we have a good bar/restaurant which  good for meeting up with people.

Choose between our A/C and non-A/C rooms, or our single-unit cabanas. We have very reasonable rates, so make a reservation today!

This is our family business. My grandfather, Mr. Rupa, started in 1970 with the small kajun mud house as home stay. Then my mom and dad, Priynthi & Raju, took over in 1996. Now I am Sanju managing the place with my mom and dad.
